Rosstat continues to delight citizens with optimistic data on their financial situation.
The statistics office today announced that in February 2019, retirees began to get richer thanks to an increase in real benefits.
According to Rosstat, during the last month of winter, real pensions in Russia increased by almost 6% when compared with February 2018. And if we compare with the data on pensions in January of this year, then the statisticians are sure that they increased by about 0.1%.
The press center of Rosstat stressed that now the average pension in the Russian Federation is about 14,116 rubles. The department also recalled that wages have increased in Russia. For example, the average salary in the country is now about 43,000 rubles.
However, it is worth noting that analysts of the same department recently published a report in which they stated that real incomes of the population, on the contrary, fell for the fifth year in a row.
Later a decision was made publish data on the income of citizens not monthly, but only once a quarter. Allegedly, the new system for assessing the material situation of people will be more objective, the Federal State Statistics Service explained.
